Projeto Criança Feliz

Projeto Criança Feliz serves around one hundred children aged 5 to 13 during the hours they are not at school. Without the project, those hours would be spent alone or on the street; here they become playful, sports and cultural activities led by educators. The goal goes beyond filling time. Every activity is designed to develop the child on four fronts: personal, intellectual, creative and social. And the environment is built to offer what many of them cannot find anywhere else: stability and emotional security. The results show in how they live together. The children learn to collaborate, to share responsibility and to look after one another. This is how Instituto Itaviva fulfills its purpose: transforming lives through culture, education and sport.
