Instituto Itaviva came to change lives! With that in mind, the Conexão Futuro program was born

Conexão Futuro is an innovative program developed by Instituto Itaviva, whose main goal is to promote the personal and professional development of young people in the city of Sarzedo. With a mission to provide opportunities for growth and empowerment for this new generation, the project seeks to train and inspire participants to reach their full potential.

The first Conexão Futuro class began in April 2023, marking the start of a transformative journey for young people from Sarzedo. The program takes a comprehensive approach, covering various areas of knowledge and skills essential for personal and professional success.

Throughout the program, participants have access to a variety of activities and educational resources, including workshops, motivational talks, mentoring, and hands-on training. Topics range from social-emotional skills, such as emotional intelligence and effective communication, to technical skills relevant to the job market, such as computer literacy, digital marketing, and entrepreneurship.

In addition, Conexão Futuro seeks to connect young people with experienced professionals and local businesses, creating internship, job, and networking opportunities. Through these partnerships, participants get the chance to put what they’ve learned into practice and gain real work experience, preparing them for the professional world.

For Instituto Itaviva, investing in education and youth development is essential to building a promising future for Sarzedo. By empowering this new generation, the program contributes to the city’s economic and social growth, offering young people positive prospects for the future.

With the success of the first Conexão Futuro class, the expectation is that the program will continue to impact the lives of many more young people in Sarzedo in the years ahead. By investing in participants’ potential, Instituto Itaviva aims to build a more prosperous and equitable community, where young people have the opportunity to become agents of change and achieve their dreams and aspirations.

According to Alessandra Rigueira, social projects analyst and instructor for the program, “Participants will find their place in life, in organizations, and in social groups, and beyond that, they will go through an essential process of ongoing transformation, developing the skills and competencies needed to enter the job market. In short, it’s a journey of personal transformation.”

To further support the program, participants also receive guidance from Natane Carolina, a psychologist who works in Itaminas’ Social Development area. This support is essential to understanding and guiding each student’s development.

On July 21, the first Conexão Futuro class had its last day of classes. It was a moment of reflection, where each student could look back on their progress and share the experiences they had along the way.

After the final class, all the students gathered for a celebration at Instituto Itaviva, where unforgettable moments were shared and every achievement was celebrated.

It was also a moment of great recognition, as each student received a course certificate attesting to their effort and dedication throughout the program.

We thank everyone who was part of this journey! Now we move on to new challenges, always carrying with us the lessons learned and the friendships we built.
