Trilhas de Sarzedo 2024 – Maio Amarelo

On May 26, 2024, the city of Sarzedo hosted an innovative event: “Trilhas de Sarzedo,” organized by Itaminas in partnership with Sarzedo Mall, in celebration of Maio Amarelo (Yellow May, Brazil’s traffic-safety awareness campaign) and traffic-safety awareness. The event aimed to raise public awareness about the importance of traffic safety, bringing runners together for a 5 km course.

The point wasn’t just to finish the course, but also to enjoy the journey and take in the surrounding environment.

Children and teenagers took part actively, learning in a fun and interactive way, ensuring the message was effectively conveyed to all ages.

After the run, the athletes enjoyed a delicious barbecue, along with a hearty snack of fruit and natural sandwiches to replenish the energy spent during the race. The get-together was a special moment, where participants could share their experiences and celebrate the event’s success together. Live music livened up the afternoon, creating a festive atmosphere full of camaraderie.

“Trilhas de Sarzedo” was a great success, bringing together sport, awareness, and community interaction. Through this event, the traffic-safety message was widely spread, highlighting the importance of preserving lives and promoting safer roads for everyone. The organizers have already announced plans to make “Trilhas de Sarzedo” an annual event, aiming to keep strengthening traffic-safety awareness and provide moments of leisure and learning for the community.
