AVG Group Visit to Itaminas

On September 26, Itaminas had the pleasure of welcoming employees from AVG Group for a special visit.

During the meeting, we presented our operating model, highlighting our commitment to sustainability, a core part of our long-term strategy. One of the main topics covered was our Environmental Education Program (PEA), which reinforces ecological awareness both internally and externally, aiming to preserve natural resources and promote sustainable development in the surrounding communities.

Visitors were able to closely follow the filtering process, one of the pillars that ensure the efficiency and environmental responsibility of our operations, contributing significantly to reducing the use of tailings dams. The technical visit included a detailed presentation on our ongoing investments in technology and innovation, essential to making our activities increasingly safe and sustainable.

In addition, interaction with Itaminas’s Environment, Communications, and Social Responsibility teams was a highlight of the visit, allowing for a valuable exchange of experiences on environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) best practices. Itaminas reaffirms its commitment to being a benchmark in the mining sector, combining operational efficiency with environmental preservation and care for people.
